REMEMBERING CHIEF MATTHEW OHAMUO, THE LATE IME II OF UMUIME

It has been more than 9 years since the passing of Chief Mathew Ohamuo, the late village head of Umuime, in Umuosu Ubakala Autonomous Community. To many who knew him, his name will continually ring a bell in their hearts. He was a man of honour and a patriot, whose invaluable contributions to his community remain laudable. He was a great man full of intelligence,  courageous  with a disciplined mind. He was always firm in his actions that those around him were moulded in the same way.  He was a leader of men, a go getter, an exceptional community leader, a distinguished village head, who gave unbaised and examplary leadership to his people, a consummate strategist, a becon of hope, a source of inspiration and a guiding light to his people. Members of the Abam Development Association, Lagos will celebrate the 2024 Abam Cultural Day with pomp and pageantry like never before  The event, scheduled for Saturday 17th November, 2024 is expected to take place at Abayomi Hall by Mechanic bus stop Awodiora Ajegunle  from 12 noon. The Abams, who are not known to do their things in half measures are all out to celebrate the cultural day in grand style According to Mr Emeka Isaac, President of Abam development Association, the event promises to be a memorable one. REV (MRS) DANSO: 63 YEARS OF GOD's GOODNESS .

  Rev. ( Mrs) Olayinka Olusola Danso,  retired General Manager, National Mail Distribution Center, Shomolu is 63 years today. In a country where the average life expectancy is 54 and at a time longevity takes the grace of God, attaining such milestone in good health and sound mind is no mean feat and calls for thanksgiving and Celebration. As she marks her 63rd birthday, the prayer on the lips of her admirers all ovet the country is that the good Lord  should grant her more years, in addition to good health and sound mind to enable her continue to inspire people in her life.  Indeed she is a jolly good fellow, an icon, a mentor, a leader of leaders,  a loving, caring and amiable wife and mother, a  role model and other roles i have not been able to find words for.  A woman of honor and outstanding qualities, misunderstood but yet admired by the same people who claimed to have hated her guts.  she is someone who is truly worthy of emulation.
