The traditional marriage of lovely Miss Philominia Oriki and her hearthrop, Mr Emmanuel Ogbonna was held on Saturday , 27th December, 2024     The ceremony which took place at Mr Paul Oriki's residence  at Badagry was successful in every aspect of it  as it drew good number  of family members, friends and well wishers who came out to celebrate the union of Emmanuel and his wife, Philominia. Present at the ceremony were the bride's parents, Mr and Mrs Paul Oriki, the groom's  mother, Mrs Elizabeth and her handsome husband, the bride's snr brother, Mr Festus Oriki, Mr Ejike Asibe, brother of the groom's father Mazi Moses Uche Ogbonna, who is in far away USA eking out a living, the class mates of the couple who came into the venue to celebrate with one of  their own. The former Secretary to Abia State Government, Barrister Chris Everything zem is 55 year today, 24th December, 2024, having been born on 24th  December, 1969. As he celebrates his birthday on this special day,  we join the multitude of well wishets all over the world  in wishing him a very Happy and Blessed Birthday Celebration. The Principal Secretary attached to the General Post Office, Asaba, Mrs Gladys Uwaje,  has bowed out of service after clocking the mandatory retirement age of 60 years and after 34 years of meritorious service. Before she commenced  her pre retirement leave, staff of the Human Resources Management Unit  of  Nigerian Postal Service, Delta Territory, had organised a farewell ceremony for  her. The funeral rites for Chief Moses Ekwueme, the late Village head of Umuokwuru village in Umuosu Ubakala Autonomous Community will commence on 5th January 2025 Chief Moses Ekwueme, the Okwuru 1 of Umuokwuru village, who died on 18th October, 2024 will be buried on 6th January, 2024. He was aged 91 years According to the burial arrangements made available by the family of the deceased, the Wake keep will take place on 5th January, 2025, at his compound in Umuokwuru, Umuosu Ubakala Autonomous Community  The remains of the late village head will be  interred on 6th January, 2025 in his Umuokwuru, Umuosu Ubakala hometown,  immediately after the Church service. Few weeks after he celebrated his 62nd birthday, Reverend Nnamdi P. Anosike,  is on the news again and also for good reason. He was on 2nd November, 2024 conferred  with an honorary Doctorate Degree in Theology by the Present Truth Bible Seminary Inc, Lagos Nigeria. He was honoured alongside  four other Ministers of God The conferment ceremony, which was part of the activities marking the institution's convocation ceremony,  took place at the school premises  in Lagos.
