CHIEF MOSES EKWUEME FOR BURIAL JANUARY 6TH





The funeral rites for Chief Moses Ekwueme, the late Village head of Umuokwuru village in Umuosu Ubakala Autonomous Community will commence on 5th January 2025


Chief Moses Ekwueme, the Okwuru 1 of Umuokwuru village, who died on 18th October, 2024 will be buried on 6th January, 2024. He was aged 91 years


According to the burial arrangements made available by the family of the deceased, the Wake keep will take place on 5th January, 2025, at his compound in Umuokwuru, Umuosu Ubakala Autonomous Community 

The remains of the late village head will be  interred on 6th January, 2025 in his Umuokwuru, Umuosu Ubakala hometown,  immediately after the Church service.


Late Moses Ekwueme, who  was elected the Okwuru 1 Umuokwuru. during the reign of late Eze Agoha, the Evule Ukwu I of Umuosu Ubakala, had governed the village with remarkable passion and dedication. He equally had the golden opportunity of overseeing  the affairs of Umuosu Ubakala Autonomous Community, as Regent King, when HRH Eze (Dr) S.I Ibezim, the Evule Ukwu 11,  was suspended from office. 



Chief Moses Ekwueme is survived  by wife, children, grandchildren, great grand children, among who are, Elder Charles Ekwueme,(son) Fmr. Mayor Umuahia South LGA, Chief Chimaobi Ekwueme (son), Akubuntuntu 1 of Umuosu Ubakala and the PG OEAU (F)

  Rev. ( Mrs) Olayinka Olusola Danso,  retired General Manager, National Mail Distribution Center, Shomolu is 63 years today. In a country where the average life expectancy is 54 and at a time longevity takes the grace of God, attaining such milestone in good health and sound mind is no mean feat and calls for thanksgiving and Celebration.
