NIPOST DELTA STATE: MRS UWAJE RETIRES FROM SERVICE

The Principal Secretary attached to the General Post Office, Asaba, Mrs Gladys Uwaje,  has bowed out of service after clocking the mandatory retirement age of 60 years and after 34 years of meritorious service.

Before she commenced  her pre retirement leave, staff of the Human Resources Management Unit  of  Nigerian Postal Service, Delta Territory, had organised a farewell ceremony for  her. The event,  which  had all the staff but one  in attendance, saw the head of the Unit, Mrs  Nkem Nwagwunor, pouring encoumiun on her.  She described her as a secretary like no other, a very hard working, dedicated and committed staff.
"Madam Uwaje, we admire and respect how hard you have worked  in the course of your career. You have been a very  hard working, dedicated, committed and loyal secretary, a secretary like no other. We appreciate your effort in making the unit proud and as you commence your pre retirement leave, we congratulate you on your retirement. Happy retirement ma.

Mrs Uwaje, as she is fondly called, started her career in the Nigerian Postal Service on 11th December, 1990 as a Typist IV at Kano Territory. She spent 17 years in kano before moving down to Asaba, Delta Territory in 2007.
During her stay in Asaba, which spanned over 17 years, she worked directly under
two SMAs- Mr Ohakim and Mr. Asibe, three APMs-  Mrs A.O Adeniyi, Mr Babatunde Ajayi and Mr. kpandora and one District Manager- Mrs  Lilian Ibeme.

She is a highly efficient, hard working and loyal staff, easy-going, calm and composed. She will be deeply missed by all and sundry both at GPO Asaba and Federal Secretariat.

We wish her the very best, and hope she enjoys every  moment of this next phase of her life
