TEN NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS OF HRH EZE (DR) IBEZIM AT 66.

  HRH EZE  Sir  Dr Simeon Iheonye Ibezim KSC, the Evule Ukwu II of Umuosu Ubakala Autonomous Community is 66 years today, Friday, 4th April, 2025. To celebrate this highly celebral and cosmopolitan  monarch, we highlight ten of his notable achievements at 66. 1.) He has to his kitty the following Certificates and Degrees;  RHD, CHO, RCHPN, B.Sc, MPA and D.Sc which he garnered from the numerious higher institutions he attended  2.) He is a seasoned Administrator, who rose to the height of a Director Primary Health Care in the Anambra State Civil Service, before gracefully bowing out in retirement in 2014. 3.) On retirement from public service, he became COE  ZIMS Model Health Care Center,  Umuosu, an healthcare facility, he established to bring health care closer to his people, Umuosu. 4.) HAS NIPOST MANAGEMENT SOLD IT'S SNR STAFF QUARTERS IN ENUGU ?

  What is happening to NIPOST properties  in Enugu State? Snr Staff Quarters at Emole GRA, Enugu, the Basket Court  also at the same Emole GRA,  P&T Junior Staff Quarters,  Postmaster's Quarters (a three bedroom flat) at Coal Camp Post Office, Agbani Post Office and part of Territorial Headquarters, Ogui Road opposite Fire Service, are now being managed by private bodies. Staff occupying both the senior and junior  quarters have been ejected, the two staff occupying the postmaster's quarters at Coal Camp were not spared. The HRM office and those of of Procurement, Stock verifiers and parts of Accounts section at Territorial Headquarters, Ogui Road have been demolished . The question is, are these facilities on least,    Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT,} or have they been  outrightly sold off?

FORMER UBAKALA IMPROVEMENT UNION ( F) SECRETARY GENERAL BURIES WIFE.

The remains of Late Pastor (Mrs) Angela Nneoma Ephraim Nwadighogha, wife of  the former Secretary General, Ubakala Improvement Union (F) Professor Chinedum Ephraim Nwadighogha, were laid to rest on Friday 14th March, 2025 at her husband's compound, Umunibom  Umuogo Ubakala, after a Church Service conducted by the Assemblies of God Church, (Jerusalem District) at Umuahia South Local Government Area Field,. Apumiri. She was aged 61 years. Unti her death, she was a staff of the University Health Services (Clinic) ftMicheal Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike  Her burial attracted many dignitaries who came to pay their last respect and showered tributes on her. From the biographical notes and tributes to her memory, one could see that she was an accomplished woman in her field and faith   She was a lovely woman and will be greatly missed by those who knew her. She is survived by husband and children. May her soul rest in peace. Amen

AVODIM MONARCH TO MARK 10TH CORONATION ANNIVERSARY

HRH Eze Boniface Chidi Onyemachi, the Avo ukwu II of Avodim autonomous community and the Chairman Umuahia South Traditional Rulers' Council is marking his 10th anniversary of his ascension on the throne. The highly  celebrated teacher turned monarch is without doubt an emboldement of numerious virtues which include  intellectual intergrity,  courage, fairness, wisdom, prudence, justice, loyalty, compassion and many more.  These made him the popular choice of the  elders and people of Avodim community twelve years ago when they elected him as their Eze. His election was celebrated by all and sundry in both Umugama village, where he was then their village head and the entire  Avodim community. His coronation two years later was very colourful and attracted large turn out of Avodim indigenes both home and in Diaspora, as well as their friends and well wishers. REMEMBERING HRM EZE (SIR) RAPHEAL AHAMEFULE MBAGWU (KSC)

When the list of the legends in Ubakala is being compiled, the name HRM Eze  Rapheal Ahamefule Mbagwu (KSC) the Late Uba III  of Ubakala and Enyi Abia, who died on February  23, 2022, will  conspicuously be on the list.  His contributions, support and commitment to the service of his state, Abia, community, Ubakala and the Anglican  Church are legendary and had earned him several awards and commendations from both the state and the church.  He was a man of many parts. He was a celebrated Pharmacist and a top notch administrator who made his mark at R.T Brisco Nig. It is with great joy that we  celebrate with the Traditional Prime Minister of Umuosu Ubakala Autonomous Community, High Chief (Sir) Chukwuemaka Mathew Asibe (KSM)  on his birthday, today, Saturday, Febuary 22nd, 2025. We rejoice with him and thank God for the great life he has lived these past years. As he celebrates another wonderful year, we wish him a joyful, and prosperous life, filled with love, peace and all the good things that God has to offer High Chief Chuks Asibe, congratulations once more! FAMILIES OF UMUIME 8 ANNOUNCE BURIAL DATES AND ARRANGEMENTS

From  Febuary 28, 2025, Umuime village in Umuosu Ubakala autonomous community will be a hive of activity as the burial of its  kinsmen who died during the second half of last year takes center stage It is partinent to state that  Umuime village lost 8 of its citizens to the cold hands of death due to various illness during this period and their corpses are still lying in the mortuaries, awaiting burial The families of the  deceased  recently announced their burial dates and arrangements as follows:  The remains of late Mrs Joanah Chidiadi Ekwueme will be laid to rest on Friday, February 28, 2025 at her husband's compound, after funeral service to be conducted by the Anglican Chapel, Umuosu at L.A Primary.
