AVODIM MONARCH TO MARK 10TH CORONATION ANNIVERSARY
HRH Eze Boniface Chidi Onyemachi, the Avo ukwu II of Avodim autonomous community and the Chairman Umuahia South Traditional Rulers' Council is marking his 10th anniversary of his ascension on the throne.
The highly celebrated teacher turned monarch is without doubt an emboldement of numerious virtues which include intellectual intergrity, courage, fairness, wisdom, prudence, justice, loyalty, compassion and many more.
These made him the popular choice of the elders and people of Avodim community twelve years ago when they elected him as their Eze. His election was celebrated by all and sundry in both Umugama village, where he was then their village head and the entire Avodim community. His coronation two years later was very colourful and attracted large turn out of Avodim indigenes both home and in Diaspora, as well as their friends and well wishers.
And for the past nine years he has been at the saddle as the Avoukwu II of Avodim, he has distinguished himself very well in piloting the affairs of the community to the admiration of all and sundry. He has received numerious commendations and endeared himself to his fellow traditional rulers in Umuahia South because of his good leadership qualities.
In a telephone chat with UbscopeNews, HRH Eze Onyemachi said that his ten years anniversary celebration, which comes up in December 2025, will be an occasion dedicated to expressing gratitude to God Almighty for His mercy and divine direction throughout the past years and to also appreciate the people of the community, friends and well wishers for their immeasurable support.
Although, he ascended the throne on the November 21, 2015 but the celebration will hold in December 2025 at Ahia Nkwo Ukwu Market Square and is expected to surpass the coronation ceremony of ten years ago
Major attractions of the day will include cultural displays and conferement of chieftancy titles on notable personalities in recognition and appreciation of their support to the development of the community.
