BARRISTER CHRIS EZEM: A MAN OF SERVICE



Barrister Chris Ezem's simple  demeanor, humility and sense of commitment to any assigment he embarks on could be described as atribuites that have propelled him  to his present position. His records of service abundantly depict an officer who at different stages of his career could be proclaimed to have shown dedication, prudence and distinction of self to assigned responsibilities.

The Governor of Abia State attested to this, when he said during his swearing in  ceremony in june 2019 "your appointment as SSG is as a result of painstaking search, which dovetails from your precedents as an experienced lawyer.


He is a vibrant, energetic, dynamic and highly focused individual, a man with a difference in the discharge of his duties, one who has excelled in every responsibility he has been assigned to handle in the last two years. A detribalized Nigerian, whose credential of efficient leadership qualities and professional acumen mark him out as an icon worthy of emulation.


Since he assumed duty as SSG Abia State, he has brilliantly and efficiently coordinated the activities of the government, which in turn has lifted the standard of service delivery and performance in the State.


A man of prodigious intellect, he has brought to bear his rich private sector experience in moving the ship of governance forward and has succeded in placing the state in a pedestal of glory. His meticulous execution of the onerous task of his office as the SSG has greatly elevated the position of Abia State Government to an enviable standard.


He is conscious of the fact that promise made must be kept. This he has done in the last two years with a class. As he promised during his swearing in ceremony in 2019, he has introduced brilliant innovations that have added value to the progrommes and policies of the state government designed to improve the well- being of the  people

For him no task is too big, no place is too far and no  purpose is not possible, once it is to be done in the interest of the state.


So outstanding are his dedication to duty, capability, strong sence of discipline, humility, transparency and honesty towards the discharge of his duties that both the governor and the citizens of the state not only attest to his uncommon resourcefulness but described him as an asset  not only to the administration of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, but to Abia State in general.


He has the interest of his people, Ubakala at heart and has always worked to enlarge and enrich them to the best of his ability. In the last two years, he has attracted laudable appointments to them. Many of them are proud of him because he has brought out the political sagacity of Ubakala to limelight.

As  Elder Friday Ogbuehi,  the President General of U.I.U (F) aptly put it during his  one year in office. " We celebrate him for being our worthy Ambassador. We are grateful for Ubakala persons that have gained employement through him within this one year. We are also grateful for the role he played to see that our wife, Mrs Franca Ekwueme was elevated to the position of Permanent Secretary. He saw to it that Ubakala son is today the Chairman of PDP Umuahia South LGA,"


"During the COVID-19 pandemic, he made sure that everything  due to Ubakala was provided without stress. What he has done for Ubakala within just one year is very impressive. I have no doubt that better things will still come Ubakala way as he enters his second year in the office"


We salute Barrister Chris Ezem for his service to the Government of Abia State in the last two years. We say so far so good. He has indeed made visible difference in Abia State Executive Council. May God continue to grant him the needed wisdom to continue to exel.

GLAMOUR AS JOHN AND JULIE NWADIGHOGHA MARK 25TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

  Rev. ( Mrs) Olayinka Olusola Danso,  retired General Manager, National Mail Distribution Center, Shomolu is 63 years today. In a country where the average life expectancy is 54 and at a time longevity takes the grace of God, attaining such milestone in good health and sound mind is no mean feat and calls for thanksgiving and Celebration.
