SHOUT-OUT TO ALL NIPOST DELTA STATE STAFF RETIRING THIS YEAR

I will like to use this medium to give a shout out to all the NIPOST Delta State Staff that are retiring this year. To those that have already retired in the first half of the year, i say big congratulations to you all for finishing the race in good health and sound mind. And to those that will retire later in the year, the Lord that has sustained you till this day will see you through the remaining few months you have to go.

Mrs Gladys Uwaje, the able secretary at GPO. You are indeed what your SMA, Mrs Nkem Nwagwunor said you were, a secretary like no other, a very hard working, dedicated, and committed staff. Congratulations on your retirement

Sunday Ashaleye, you are undoubtedly one of the most dedicated hardworking, loyal and committed PPMOs that the territory/state has had. Dogged, resilient tenacious, courageous and unassuming personality. Congratulations on your retirement

Mr Chidi Richmond Azuka, fmr acting DM Ughelli, later Head of Operations, Ughell District, you would thave  retired w. e. f  29.10 2025, but due to some unfortunate incidents, you were retired earlier. Nevertheless, you are a brilliant and hardworking Postal controller .Your dedication and commitment to duty had earned you a nomiation for the NIPOST Zonal Merit Award South South. Where ever you are now, i wish you best of luck.

Adokuru Joshua, the man from Illah. You are the luckiest postal officer in the state. One of your short comings is that you love illah to a fault. You often overstayed your frequently weekend visits there, This had earned you numerious queries and finally posting to Enugu State. Thank God that despite all your shortcomings, you survived the race and you will be retiring  w. e. f   30. 11. 2025.

Falode Olatunji Oladapo, the DPM Asaba, before he was posted to Osun Territory, Edwin Ehinze, the current Head of Operations, Asaba District, Ehiaghe Martin of NMDC Asaba before he was moved  to Onitsha, Chris Uzoma Asiedu, fmr Ems Manager Agbor, now SPM Enugu state,  will retire w.e.f  28 08 2025, 13.11.2025,13.11.2025 and 30.11.2025 respectively.  I am wishing you all happy retirement in advance. You all have paid your dues and deserve  every accolade that comes your way. May pray is
may God see you through the remaining few months you have to go

I cannot forgot Chiedu Benedicta Nkechi, Ikeakanam Cecilia Nonyelum, Nwajei Emmnuel, Omoike Okolosie and Ebite Emmanuel Nwafor. You have worked  hard, for so many years, you deserve to relax .  Congratulations in advance

I am saddened that Mr. James Akujuobi, Miss Ofuani Victoria and Ejeje Henritta could not finish the race. They would have retired w.e.f  6.5. 2025, 1.11. 2025 and 27.12.2025 respectively but death stopped them. God knows the best. May their souls continue to rest in the Lord and may God Almighty continue to protect and provide for the families they left behind

Another officer who could not complete the race is Mr. Evbodaghe Thomas, a hardworking and humble desk officer at NMDC, Asaba. He and Akpokwaye Robinson were deployed from Warri District to Asaba, following accusation that they had constituted themselves  as cabal in Warri District. Determined to prove those who accused them of wrong doing wrong, they took their deployment in good faith and settled down quickly at NMDC Asaba and Ogwashiuku P.O  respectively. Thomas would have retired w.e.f  18.10.2025, but for the unfortunate incident invoving him and the NMDC boarding officer, which later led to his retirement in 2019. Although nobody, including the APM Mr. Kwandora, believed that he committed the offense but evidence on ground pointed to his involvement in a negative way. The crime was well planned and he fell for it by appending his signature

Julian Ugbade and Sire Donald were also deployed from Warri and Ughelli respectively to Asaba on punitive grounds. I will never forget how sad Mrs Ugbade was when she first reported  at Asaba. She was lamenting how she will cope maintaining two homes But they showed enough remorse and were of good behaviour throughout their state at Asaba, that their deployment back to their former Districts was not opposed by the no nonsense APM, Mr Babatunde Ajayi.

Once again i say a congratulations to all of you for finishing the race. Many started the race with you in 1990 but they did not finished. As  you begin the next phase of life, i pray that Almighty God should grant you good health, long life and prosperity. Life has two sides the good and the bad. May you always taste the good side of life.

'Welcome to senior citizens club'
