FRIDAY OGBUEHI LED UIU (, F) APPROACH TO FIGHTING CRIME IN UBAKALA

 


The Friday Ogbuehi led UIU (f ) have contributed immensely to crime prevention, particularly the support being given to the local security outfits in Ubakala to douce the manace of crime wave in Ubakala.

Various measures have been put on ground to curtail crimes in the seemingly absence of police in Ubakala occasioned by the attack and burning of Apumiri police station by the infamous unknown gun men.


The Vigilante groups including the central and  the one in the various communities in the clan were reorganised and provided  with patrol van, motorcycles, bicycles  and various security gagdgets to boost their moral


An ex-Police officer, HRH Eze Ebere Ubani  the  Akuma Ukwu 111 of Mgbarakuma was made the Chairman of Ubakala  Security committee. and he has so far done marvelously well in checkmating crimes since he was drafted to the scene.

He has carried out several raids in the dark spots in the clan to the admiration and applause of residents of the clan.


Also a new building to replace the burnt police building in Apumiri,  has been roofed and would soon be completed and handed over to police. 


There is plan to buy a hilux van for the police when the new police building is completed and handed over to them.

Various respondents Who talked to Ubscope News, praised  Elder Friday Ogbuehi led executive for their efforts in douncing the manace of crime wave in the Community. They appealed to the people in the Community to cooperate with the union and  report any suspicious movement in order to sterm various criminal cases in the clan
