HRH EZE BONIFACE ONYEMACHI DISSOLVES AVODIM DEVELOPMENT UNION EXECUTIVE, APPOINTS INTERIM PRESIDENT

The traditional ruler of Avodim Ubakala Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Boniface Chidi Onyemachi has dissolved the Cyril Nwabuko led executive of Avodim Development Union (f) and appointed  Mr. Chikodi igwe as the interim President to oversee the election of the in coming executive that will be sworn- in, during the December conference

The Royal mornarch justified his  action  by refering to the provision of the constitution which states that by the month of August of the fourth year, the existing executive would be dissolved to paveway for the election of the in-coming executive that would be sworn-in during the December conference

Meanwhile, Elder Cyril Nwabuko, the President General of the dissolved Union has  gone to court to seek for interlocutory  injuction  restricting the interim executive from parading themselves as the executive of Avodim Development Union (F), saying that their  appointment was illegal and unconstitutional

He argued that the constitution did not in any way authorize, permit or empower HRH and his council members to appoint or  inaugurate a caretaker committee for Avodim Development Union ( F)

He equally argued that the constitution did not in any manner either by  omission or communion permit, authorize or empower HRH to conduct or call to conduct election for the union ADU (F)

Ubscope gathered that the embattled President General does not enjoy the support of some Conferences, especially Lagos and members of his executive in his quest.  Mr. Chikodi igwe, the interim President was the assistant Secretary General in the dissolved executive. Another member in the executive told Ubscope News that  it is truth that the constitution does not  permit HRH in any way to discuss or carry out ADU(F) Union matters,  however as Chief  Security Officer of the community it is his responsibiliy to intervain in moments of crises. He therefore urged Elder Cyril Nwabuko  to accept the dissolution in good faith and allow peace to continue to reign in Avodim.
