MEET THE PRESIDENT OF UBAKALA IMPROVEMENT UNION, LAGOS

 


Mr Columba Nduaguibe is the current President of Ubakala Improvement Union, Lagos. He took over from Mr. Chimezie Nzenwa, who declined to  go for a second term on personal grounds. Nduaguibe was elected to complete the tenure of Alaocha.

He can be described as a man of vision and mission. He is intelligent, hard working, deligent, humble  and always focused on the things he wants and knows exactly how to achieve them.

He is an examplary paragon.He believes in and has often times displayed an uncanny understanding to situations which has won him great admiration and acceptance from all and sundry


Since he took over as President Ubakala Improvement Union, he has continued with the advocacy for development of the Union as chartered by his predecessors. So far he has distinguished himself very well in effectively piloting the affairs of the Union to the admiration of members.

Born to the family of Late Mr and Mrs Christopher Nduaguibe of Umuoka, Mgbarakuma. He is the 3rd in the family of nine


He stated his journey into western education at Mgbarakuma Primary school, where he had distinction in his First School Leaving certificate examination.  He later went to St Anthony Commercial School, Apumiri  and  Ubakala Secondary School,  Nsukwe, where he became the School Senior Prefect in his final year.

He had his tertiary education at Institute of Management and Technology,  Enugu, where he obtained HND in Computer Science. He also posses a PGD in Project Management.

After his National Youth Service Corps in 2000, he relocated to Lagos, where he worked with various telecomm Servicing  firms, before deciding to set up his own company 'Columba Concepts'.

Mr Columba, Who believes in the development, progress and unity of Ubakala has participated activily in Mgbarakuma Development Union Lagos, Alaocha Ubakala Development Union, Lagos and Ubakala Improvement Union, Lagos since he relocated to Lagos in 2000


He was the Secretary, Umuoka Family Meeting Lagos, in 2000 till 2009, assistant Secretary, Mgbarakuma Development Union, Lagos in 2003 and Secretary in 2006, assistant Secretary Ubakala Clan Union, Lagos in 2009 and President, Ubakala Improvement Union in 2019 till date


He is a devoted Christian. Since he was 16 years he has been working for the Church in various leadership capacities.

He is happily married to Keyna and they are blessed with children.

GLAMOUR AS JOHN AND JULIE NWADIGHOGHA MARK 25TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Nwachinemere 1 of Ubakala, High Chief, Sir (Dr) John Nwadighogha KSM and his beautiful wife, Lady Julie Nwadighogha are one great couple who are consistent in showing appreciation to God for His favour upon them. They do this at every given opportunity. On 29th December, 2024, they repeated this when they rolled out the drums to appreciate God's for His goodness, faithfulness and mercy upon their marital life in the last 25 years. The event which began with Thanksgiving Mass at St Nicholas Catholic Church, Nsukwe / Umuogo was followed with a reception of guests at Dr John Nwadighogha's residence,  Umunibom, Umuogo Ubakala Their friends and loved ones, who have been privileged to observe  their successful marriage story,  described  the attainment  of such milestone as worthy of celebration.   Rev. ( Mrs) Olayinka Olusola Danso,  retired General Manager, National Mail Distribution Center, Shomolu is 63 years today. In a country where the average life expectancy is 54 and at a time longevity takes the grace of God, attaining such milestone in good health and sound mind is no mean feat and calls for thanksgiving and Celebration.
