FIVE HOT EVENTS HAPPENING IN UBAKALA THIS FESTIVE PERIOD YOU MUST NOT MISS

 This is the month of December. The month many Igbos all over the world travel back home to celebrate Christmas with their kith and kin and loved ones

Many activities are usually held during the month. Social events like meetings,  burials,  annual sports competition, festivals,  coronations and many others as part of Xmas celebrations

There are a ton of social events you and your loved can be part of this holiday

If you are travelling home to celebrate the xmas this year, we bring to you five  hot events happening in Ubakala this holiday that you must not miss.

1.  UBAKALA DAY



The people of Ubakala under the aegis of Ubakala Improvement Union (f)  will on Sunday 26th December, 2021 mark Ubakala Day Celebration with pomp and pageantry like never before

December 26 every year has come to be known as Ubakala day. That day the clan holds a fiesta where its cultural heritage is on display.

According Chief Uwaoma Nzenwa, Secretary General,  Ubakala Improvement Union (F) this year edition would be bigger, better and fun packed to make participants and guests have a swell time.

Unlike like the previous year's disappointment when the celebration was substituted with Christmas carol , this year celebration will feature  the usual cultural displays by various  communities in Ubakala in a  competitive atmosphere. It will also avail the communities the opportunity to show case various delicacies during the competitive cooking event.

All the communities in their usual manner will ensure that colour and glamuor are the order of the day as they will bring in different styles and innovations to make the day special

2.   CELEBRATION OF  ENYI's 11 CORONATION   


Laguru Autonomous Community will celebrate the  Staff of Office presented to HRH Eze C.A Ucheaga by his Exellency Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and his susequent coronation.

The event which will hold on 29th December, 2021 promises to attract a barrage of royalties, government functionaries, creme dela creme of the society, top notch socialite, Captains of industries and sons and daughters of the community both within and in Diaspora.

It promises to be a remarkable  occasion for Laguru people and those who have been  longing to meet the iconic monarch with several university degrees in his kity



Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and Hon Chinedu Orji are the  Chief Guest of Honour and Special Guest of Honour respectively


Others expected at the all important occasion are Barr. Jerry Uzosike, Prince  O Enweremadu, Hon Humprey Benson, Chief Anthony Ukasanya and Deacon Charles Ekwueme


Traditional rulers expected include HRH Eze Rapheal Mbagwuo, HRH Eze Stephen Ihuoma, HRH Eze Bonniface Onyemachi and others

3. BURIAL OF MADAM  NWANUCHUKA  MBONU

All roads will lead to Abam Ubakala on 30th December, 2021 as Mr Goddy Mbonu and his sibblings play host to their numerous friends, associates and well wishers who will come from all across Ubakala clan and beyond to register their love and support for them as they lay the earthly remains of their mother,  Late Madam Nwanuchuka Mbonu  on 30th December, 2021

An inside source in Abam who spoke to Ubscope News said that all arragements have been concluded to give Madam Mbonu a befitting burial.

4. ADA UBAKALA BEAUTY PAGAENT


Ada Ubakala Beauty Pageant made entry its entry in to the Ubakala Entertainnment  scene in 2013

Since then, it has continued to wax stronger, growing  in leaps and bounds,  with prominent personalities like Sir Ebere Nwaeze, Engr. Ezinna Ogbokiri, Comdr MacDonald Ubah, Engr Nnamdi Ezigbo (slot) and his beatiful wife, Nkechi Ezeigbo gracing the event.

The Pagaent has produced queens like Oluchi Ohaka,  Favour Johnson, Chinoso Ekwueme, Sophia Ulunma Ogbuehi etc who can hold their heads high anywhere in the world.

No fewer than 12  contestants are expected  to participate in this year's edition  and there will be several side attractions to entertain guests.  As usual the event will be anchored by Mr Daniel Amuzie a. k.a Man Must Laugh. It promises to be a night full of mind blowing excitement

5. CORONATION OF AKUMA UKWU 111 OF MGBARAKUMA



All roads will lead to Mgbarakuma Autonomous community on 31st December, 2021 when HRH Eze Ebere Ubani will be coronated  the Akuma  Ukwu 111 of  Mgbarakuma

His coronation is expected to be a crowd pulling one because he is one of the most famous personalities in Ubakala. He was President, Ubakala Improvement Union, Lagos and President, Igbo speaking community in Lagos. Since his election as the traditional ruler of Mgbarakuma autonomous community  and appointment as the Chairman of Ubakala Security Committee, he has been doing wonderful  jobs of bringing sanity to Ubakala community  that was fast degenerating to moral decadence  by the activies of illicit drug users

The news of the death of Sir Micheal Uzoma Irom KSM, the Ezeji and  Agu N'Eche Mba1 of Nsirimo, came to many people that knew him as a big shock.
