WHY I COULD NOT FINISH MY STUDIES AT UBAKALA SECONDARY SCHOOL - CHIEF ALOZIE
Chief Alozie Iheme is one bubbly young man that believes in working hard and also having fun when necessary. Over the years, he has been a person whose presence in any event brings liveliness. He has indeed lived up to his chieftaincy tittle ''Igirigiogu' by ensuring that he makes a world of difference when he steps into arena, irrespective of the mood of the people he awakens the happiness that is embedded in them by nature. He perfectly fits the maxin which states that when the person being expected in occasion arrives, the occasion turns around.
He was born on 21st September, 1969 at No 24 Aggrey Road, Port Harcourt to late Mr and Mrs Isaac Iheme.
He attended L.A Primary School Umuosu, between 1976 and 1981. He commenced his secondary education at Ubakala Secondary School, Nsukwe, but could not finish his education there due to the death of his father. But his burning desire for education led him to do everything possible and to the glory of God, he eventually completed his secodary education at St Philip Memorial College Ubakala.
Two years after leaving secondary school, he relocated to Lagos in search of greener pastures and he got a job with Ammworld Couriers.
His quest for continuous improvement saw him take a part time programme with Business Management Institute in Lagos, where he bagged a diploma certificate in Business Management.
He further expanded his knowledge by undergoing tutelage in the area of shipping, clearing and forwarding business between 1992 and 1995. On completion of his tutelage, he joined Arawo Enterprise, a shipping, clearing and haulage outfit in 1995. From there he moved to establish his own company, Semic.
Chief Alozie Iheme is a social person. He participates actively in all activities of Ubakala improvement Union, Alaocha Ubakala Development Union and OEAU in Lagos. His immensurable contributions have affected positively the growth and development of these unions and in recognision of these good works and others, he has won series of awards, among which are: Award of Excellence by OEAU Lagos and another by Alaocha Ubakala Development Union Lagos
For his contributions in Umuosu Ubakala, the Umuario born Chief was decorated with the tittle Igirigiogu 1 of Umuosu by the Traditional Ruler of Umuosu Autonomous Community, HRH Eze, Dr S.I Ibezim on 28th December, 2021
He further expanded his knowledge by undergoing tutelage in the area of shipping, clearing and forwarding business between 1992 and 1995. Due to logistics and challenges, he liquidated the company and again picked up a job at Goshenfied Nig Ltd, where he is presently operating as General Manager
