WHY KESSY ONUOHA IS CAMPAIGNING AGAINST HON. JERRY UZOSIKE'S SECOND TERM BID


This is definitely not a  good time for Hon. Jerry Uzosike, the member representing Umuahia South State Constituency and his legion of supporters. This is because  political  manuoverings are being perfected  by some  groups in Olokoro  and Ubakala to deny him of a second term bid.

The move to stop his bid for a second term was started by the Olokoros, who claim that it is their turn to produce the next member representing Umuahia South State Constituency due to the traditional PDP's one term zonning arrangement in the constituency. The agitation is gaining momentum with Ubakala  lending thier support.


The arrow head in Ubakala, Mr Kessy Onuoha who is the media aide  to the  Umuahia South Legislative Council, has come out  with a slogan "Deede Rituoo for Olokoro to take  their turn Nihina Ogbasara Anyi'' and also the reasons in sequence which he labelled Umuahia South State Constituency. The Truth Behind Every Truth  part,1 & 2, to justify his opposition to Hon. Uzosike's second term bid.

This development has sparkled altercations between him and supporters of Hon. Uzosike with each side calling other despicable names.

Any one that says that Kessy Onuoha is not holding brief for Ubakala may not be far from the truth. Yes Kessy is politically nobody. He cannot speak for his village in Umuosu, talkless of Ubakala. The likes of Super High Chief Anthony Ukasanya, Arch Benson Ezem, Charles Ekwueme, Chris Ezem or even his boss in Umuahia South L.G, Chief Dennis  Okorie, cannot dance to his tune. But i repeat but where the people he seems to be speaking for ( Ndi ogbasara) are not cautioning or calling him to order, is a clear expression of their support for his agitation.

It is believed that Mr Kessy Onuoha is being sponsored by some politicians to send message to Ndi Olokoro that Ubakala has decided to support them  to produce the next member representing Umuahia South State Constituency in the House of Assembly and they(Olokoros) are also expected to reciprocate this gesture in the nearest future 

The reason for this may not be far fetched. A big fish from Ubakala is eyeing the PDP's ticket for Ikwuano/ Umuahia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives or deputy governorship seat depending on how the pendulum will swing. His game plan is ready and awaiting execution, once the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon.Chinedum Orji aka Ikuku, officially declared the position he is contesting for in 2023


The PDP has zoned the ticket for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency  to Umuahia North Local Government. The speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Hon.Chinedum Orji, who is from Umuahia North is alleged to have indicated interest to vie for the seat. His father, Senator Theodore Orji's  intension to step down as senator in 2023 is a confirmation of the rumuours, as father and son cannot be in Senate and House of Representatives at the same period. Hon Chinedum Orji is also alleged to be nursing the interest for  the number one seat in the state.

The calculation of the Ubakala big fish is if Ikuku goes for the ticket for the governorship race, the ticket for the House of Representatives will be zoned to Umuahia south as Umuahia North can not be given the tickets for  both the governorship and house representatives at the same time. This will afford our man to contest the election. 

Again if Ikuku is not given ticket for the governorship position and  and the party considers either Abia north or south for the position, our man is also qualified to contest for the position of deputy governor of the state.

In the event of these happenning, Ubakala will not want Olokoro to  pose as obstacle to one of her own, so she has decided to support Olokoro in their House of Assembly bid and expect them to reciprocate by supporting Ubakala's quest for either House of Representatives or deputy governorship bid


On if Jerry would not  feel betrayed by Ndi Ubakala. A source in Ubakala told Ubscope News that Hon Jerry should not feel betrayed by this arrangement instead he should be grateful to the two communities for doing him favour by making his election to the house in 2019 possible and should therefore reciprocate this gesture by supporting the arrangement on ground 


Meanwhile, Hon. Jerry Uzosike and his legion of supporters are not giving up as they are determuned to fight till the end especially with the rumuours making round that the Governor has decided to support a candidate from Isi alangwa in Abia Central for the plum job. If this happens it mean the whole game plan of Ubakala will be shattered like a pack of cards.

Whether Hon. Uzosike will braze the odds and be given the ticket or not time is a reaveler.
