UBA OF UBAKALA JOINS HIS ANCESTORS

One of the most revered royal fathers in Umuabia, the Ubah 111 of Ubakala, HRH Eze Pharm. Rapheal Mbagwo has joined his ancestors 

He died after a brief illness at the age of 93 years

He was the 3rd and propably the last UBA of Ubakala. He succeeded HRH Eze Onukwue who died in 1990

Amibo Progreeive Union (F) in conjunction with UBA in cabinet announced the passing of the monarch in a release signed by the president general of Amibo Progressive Union (F ) and the SSG of Abia State, Barr. Chris Ezem. where he stated that the monarch will be buried on 7th April, 2022

The statement reads thus

With sorrowful heart Amibo Progreeive Union (F)  in conjuction with UBA in cabinet regret to announce the demise of HRM EZE PHARM. RAPHEAL A. MBAGWU KSM UBA III OF UBAKALA, ENYI ABIA

May his soul rest in peace

His remains will be interred on the 7th April, 2021

Meanwhile eminent Ubakala  and groups have continued to send in their condolence message since the news of the death of the monarch became public knowledge

ABIA SSG, BARRISTER CHRIS EZEM BAGS WAI BRIGADE AWARD






The National Orientation Agency (NAO) in conjunction with the Abia State Ministry of Information and Strategy conferred on the SSG Abia State, Barr. Chris Ezem with the honour of the War Against Indiscipline Brigade Patron.










The event was held at the Dr Micheal Okpara Auditorium Umuahia.

BURIED

The late George Onyebuchi Ibebu, the Akara Ugo 1 of Ubakala was laid to rest on Friday 22nd Febuary, 2022 at his compound, Umuokigbo, Amibo. He was aged 82 years







His interment followed a church service conducted by St Andrew Anglican Church, Nsukwe/Amibo.

Among the dignitaries at the burial were president general, U.I.U (F) Elder Friday Ogbuehi, his secretary, Chief Uwaoma Ndukuba, Rev. Arc Benson Ezem, Barr. Chris Ezem (SSG), Chief Acho Nwakanma,  Chief Achim Iheanacho, Mr Jalo Okezie, Mr Chibuzo Omabuihe etc

The former president of Igbo Speaking Commumity in Lagos, current Eze elect of Mgbarakuma Autonomous Community and the chairman of Ubakala Security, Chief Ebere Ubani added one year to his age on 19th Febuary, 2021
