U I U LAGOS MOURN CHRISTIAN OGBONNA

 


The Ubakala Improvement Union, Lagos Conference has been thrown into mourning following the sudden demise of one of it active members, Mr Christian Ogbonna,  popularly known as 'Army.'

Late Mr Ogbonna died on  Sunday 25th February, 2024 from an undisclosed illness.

The late Mr. Christian Ogbonna, from Umuogo community was an active member of the various development unions in Lagos.  Until his death he was the president of Mbaiyi Ubakala Welfare Association, as well as vice chairman Okpuama/Azuahia progressive Union, Lagos.

The news of his demise was announced by Mr Paul Iroakasi via U.I.U Lagos Conference's platform. Soon after the news of his passing, the platform was filled with condolence messages from several members of Ubakala Improvement Union,  Lagos. 

According to Chinedum Austin Anosike, his death is very saddening. "Talking about 'Army' in past tense is a sad thing for me and my community,  Umuogo.

He spent most of his times in Lagos attending meetings of various unions.

He was a community leader and mobiliser of people. His space will surely be difficult to fill. 

May God bless his soul and family" 

Mr Luke  Ahizu on his part penned "Rest in peace Dee Ogbona . I reserved a seat for you last Sunday in church not knowing you have gone to be with your Maker. It is well".

" Chai our gentle, easy going, and calm president, Mr Christian Ogbonna may your soul rest in peace in the Lord and may the Lord comfort your family"  Elder (Chief) Friday Ogbuehi, PG U.I.U (f) prayed.

On his part, High Chief Simeon Olua, patron Alaocha Ubakala Development Union,  Lagos wrote "Is unfortunate we lost a vibrant man, 'Army'. May God have mercy on him snd preserve his soul for a perfect peace"

"Very  painful exit. May his humble soul rest in peace. My condolences to his immediate family" Mr. Chibuzor Omamuihe had written
