CHIEF NGADDI'S LOYALISTS KICK AS EZE UCHEAGA CREATES THREE NEW VILLAGES IN LAGURU











HRH Eze Nnaoma (Professor) C.A Ucheaga, the Enyi 11 of Laguru Autonomous Community and the Chairman of Ubakala Council of Traditional Rulers, on 2nd April, 2024, at Ahiamore Market Square, announced, the creation of three new villages in Laguru Autonomous community, bringing the total number  of villages in Laguru Autonomous community to 13. The new villages are Umungele, Umuoleke and Umubiakwam, 



The village heads of  two of the three villages, High Chief Francis Chibuoke Ukairo, the Ngele 1 of Umungele and Chief ikesinachi Ibebulam, the Oleke 1 of Umuoleke were also presented and conferred with village head tittles by HRH.  Umubiakwam village, a village carved out from Umuozuobu, is  yet to  provide its village head.

The anouncement of the creation of the fourth village  carved out  from Amangwo was put on hold at the request of Amangwo indigenes in USA .   

Ubscope gathered that  effort made by Chief  Ngaddi's loyalists to stop the event through the DPO of Apumiri Police Station was thwarted by HRH who sought for and obtained the approval of AIG Zone 9, to continue the ceremony.  This group had  petitioned the DPO Apumiri, stating that Chief Ngaddi was the bona fide traditional  ruler of Laguru Autonomous Community and that Eze Ucheaga wanted to split his(Chief Ngadi's) kingdom", They argued that HRH Eze Ucheaga had been removed from office and his staff of office withdrawn and he therefore lacked power to create new villages in Laguru. 

The DPO Apumiri, acting on the petition had sent her men to stop the event,  however the timely intervention of police from zone 9 who were invited to the scene by HRH, foiled the attempt. HRH was allowed to perform the ceremony without interferance from the police. After the ceremony at Ahiamorie ended, the train moved to HRH's palace where the new village heads were conferred with village head tittles.

The event, though low key was adjudged successful. Among those sighted at the occasion are Barrister Richard Ikechukwu Ukairo, the President General of Laguru Development Union, Chief jonas, the traditional prime minister of laguru Autonomous Community, Mr Ikechi Onyemachi and others.

High Chief Francis Ukairo, the Ikemba 1 of Laguru and Omeihukwu Ndigbo Lagos is the village head of the newly created village, Umungele in Laguru Autonomous Community. He was conferred with the village head title Ngele 1 of Umungele village on 2nd April, 2024 by HRH Eze Nnaoma (Professor) C.A Ucheaga, Enyi 11 of Laguru Autonomous Community and Chairman Ubakala Council of Traditional Rulers.

The news of the death of Sir Micheal Uzoma Irom KSM, the Ezeji and  Agu N'Eche Mba1 of Nsirimo, came to many people that knew him as a big shock.
