LAGOS MAILAND TERRITORY ORGANISES PEN DOWN FOR AJiRE OLAJIDE SAMUEL


The Lagos Mainland Territory of Nigerian Postal Service,  on 22nd April, 2024, organised a pen dowm ceremony for it's retired State Postal Manager, Mr Ajire Olajide Samuel, who served the organization meritoriously and retired on 17th April, 2025, having reached the compulsory retirement age of 60 years and after 32 years of service.


At the well attended ceremony, Management Staff, including the Director (Ops) Mrs Toyin Egbesola, who respresented the Postmaster General, as well as friends and well wishers paid glowing tributes in torrents  to the man who can be aptly described as an embodiment of positive attributes, an epitome of hard work, an icon of  commitment to duty and symbol of passion for work. 


They congratulated him, as well as appreciated his contibutions to the growth and advancement of NIPOST, adding that it is an accomplishment that should not be taken for granted. 



The peak of the occasion was when he was called upon to cut the birthday cake. He was assisted by his lovely wife to perform the task. After cutting of the celebration cake, Mr Olajide stepped to the dancing floor. He was joined by family members, friends and well wishers.


The occasion came to an end with the  pulling out ceremony in his honour. The pull out ceremony is a symbolic ceremony to signify the retirement of an officer usuually of Higher Ranking. 



Born on17th April, 1964, he began his career in Nigerian Postal Service on 27th March, 1992 as Postal Controller on grade leve 08 and by dint of hard work, dedication, diligence, dexterity, purposefulnes and above all the love and fear of God, he was appointed to head various departments during his over 3 decades of illustriousm career. Some of the offices he headed are  EMS Manager Edo Territory, AGM (Domestic Ops) EMS Hqrs, Deputy Zonal Manager (OPs) Enugu Zone and State Postal Manager, Lagos Mainland Territory,  a position he held until his retirement. He distinguished himself very well in piloting the affairs of these offices to the admiration of those who appointed him  

A recipient of NIPOST MERIT AWARDS (Outstanding Officer of the Year) on account of his dedication and  commitment to duty, including Letters of Commendation,  he has quiet determination to succeed and the capacity to deliver on target any given assignment. He posseses great skill in oral and written communications. His attributes are transparent and easily noticeable. 

We at Ubscope join multitude of NIPOST Staff to congratulate Mr Ajire Olajide Samuel for his successful blemished free career. We equally congratulate him on finishing the race in good health and sound mind. As he begins the next phase of life, we pray that Almighty God should grant him good health long life and prosperity. Amen

The news of the death of Sir Micheal Uzoma Irom KSM, the Ezeji and  Agu N'Eche Mba1 of Nsirimo, came to many people that knew him as a big shock.
