FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS: REST ON GODFREY OGBUEHI

The sad news came that death has struck again. If it  knew Godfrey Ogbuehi,  Chairman Umuime Family Meeting Lagos, probably he would have  been spared. But the cruel angel that leaves vacuum when he passes has no time to cross check identities with effect that it deprived the society of noble men and women, who would have made a difference in the society.

Late Godfrey Ogbuehi was reportedly rushed to the General Hospital, Apapa on 20th July, 2020 following the escalation of his health condition. After the initial treatment at the hospital, he was discharged,

He was later moved to his senior brother's  (Boniface) place, for more treatment and to be closer to  specialists in stroke management who were attending to him

Unfortunately, on 2nd August, 2020, Just a week after he was brought to his brother's place,  he gave up the ghost, aged 60 years The news of his demise had come to his  friends and colleagues  as a rude shock.

How wicked could death be, so wicked that it has to snatch Godfrey Ogbuehi away from his family and loved ones

Although there is a time to be born and a time to die according to the Holy Book, however  nobody knew it was going to happen when it happened

His passing on was a  great lost to his family, friends and his colleagues. His  absence has continued to be felt at Ubakala Improvement Union Lagos, OEAU Lagos, Umuime Family Meeting Lagos and at home because he was  committed to the activities of these unions and would come to the meeting venue come rain or sunshine. He was chairman Umuime Family Meeting Lagos, for several years. When members were not turning up for meeting, he would be at the meeting venue all alone from 2 pm  till 6pm

He was a gem, an asset and an amazing man with the kindest heart. He loved everyone and everything

Godfrey Ogbuehi, it is four years without you. You may be gone but you will live forever in our hearts because you gave us life time memories filled with laughter, joy and happiness.  Umuime Family Meeting will never forget your labour of love.

May God continue to keep and sustain your family and grant your soul eternal rest.

Rest on my brother,  friend, confidant, counsellor and chairman
