IMO NIPOST BIDS EGBADON ABRAHAM PAUL FAREWELL



Nigerian Postal Service, Imo State, on 5th February, 2025 organised a farewell party in honour of it's retirng State Postal Manager, Mr Egbadon Abraham Paul, who retired from public  service on attainment of 60 years of age and after 33 years of meritorious  service 


The event which took place at the premises of Ama Jk General Post office, Owerri was well attended by Management and staff of  NIPOST Owerri. Among those sighted at the high table include Mrs Monaka joy Head of Operations, Mrs Nwannamaka Dim, Head of Human Resources Management, Sunny Opara PPMO, Ndidi Orji, Head of Account, Oluchi Ofola, Audit


Staff present at the event poured encomiums on him. They described him as an exceptionally good hearted leader, who gave them courage that made them overcome several challenges encoutered on the job


In his speech, Mr Egbadon expressed his gratitude to God for giving him the opportunity to end his career succesfully in good health and sound mind, just as he appreciated Management and Staff of Imo State NIPOST for the cooperation and support they gave him which made his stay in Owerri very successful 

He enjoined them to continue to serve the organisation with commitment, dedication and to always abide by civil service regulations on punctuality 



He gave out commendation letters to five staff in appreciation of their dedication and commitment to duty. The staff are Ohaeri Immaculate PPO1, Okoronkwo Christian PPOII, Enwere Bridget Ngozi SPOIII, Osuji Eze Bede, Postman.

He urged those that were not giving not to relent as it may be their turn tomorrow.





The farwell event also featured, Cutting of the celebration cake,  special prayer for the celebrant and presentation of gifts by Management  and staff  in appreciation to how he touched their lives individually and collectively 



The peak of the moment was when he stepped into dancing floor. As he danced to the tune of Sir Victor Uwaifo's Joromi, he was joined by staff and well wishers,

Born on 5th Febuary 1965. He attended the following schools: 

St Thomas Primary School, kano, where he sat and passed  his FSLC Examination.in 1976

Goverment Secondary School, Gwala, kano and Ika Grammer School, Agbor, where he sat and passed his West Afrian School Certificate Examination in 1982

Bendel State University, where he bagged a B.A (hons) Degree.in 1986

Nnamdi Azimwe University Anambra State, where he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance in 1990

He joined the service of  Nigerian Postal Service  in 1992 as Postal Controller 11 on grade level 08. He rose to the rank of Deputy Director (Operatons) on 1st January,  2022.By dint of hard work, dedication, deligence, dexterity, purposefulness and above all the love and fear of Go, he was appointed to head various offices during his over three dacades of illusrious career. Some the offices he headed are EMS Onitsha Region, DZM (EMS) Enugu zone and State Postal Manager Imo, a position he held until retirement

Mr  Egbadon Abraham  is  one of the brightest minds in the present NIPOST. He is a man with a lot in the discharge of his official duties, one who excelled in every reponsibility he has ever been assigned to handle. A detribalised  Nigerian whose credentials of effecient leadershing quality mark him out as icon worthy of emulation

He possesses strong sense of discipline, humility, transparency, honesty, civility and fear of God towards the discharge of his official duties 


As he embarks on this new chapter, we wish him a happy, healthy, and fulfiling retirement. May his years of dedication and hard work be rewarded with joy, love and contentment
