REMEMBERING NIPOST MOST DEDICATED STAFF LATE MOMOH ABDUL MOSEED OSHIOKE.

It was Mrs Gladys Uwaje, our Secretary when i was in Delta Territory that called to inform me of his death. When i heard the news i was very shocked, saddened and deeply shaken.  How wicked can death be, so wicked that it has to  snatch Momoh  Abdul Moseed Oshioke away from his family and loved ones.

Although there is a time for everything, a time to be born and a time to die, according to the Holy Book, however nobody who worked with him when we were in Asaba had expected it would happen when it happened

His passing on was a great loss to  his family, friends, colleagues and Nigerian Postal Service. His absence has continued to be felt by those very closed to him in the office because they  knew him as an enthusiastic , dedicated, committed,  hard working, devoted, result driven and goal oriented officer. Any time you called him he answered without complain. For him no task was too big, no place was to far and no purpose was not possible, once it is to be done in the interest of the service.

He was a gem, an asset and  man with passion for work. He sacrificed everything including his health for the organization. when he was in hospital bed, he was still attending to customers' complaints, as well as providing solutions to them.

When he was  EMS Manager, Asaba region, he transformed the Region from an office troubled by high profile technical  and operational challenges into a highly effective one with 96 percent of customers satisfied with the services his staff provided. He made the office IT compliant, sacrificing his personal laptop, computer, stabilizer, modem and expertise for data capturing and inquiries handling as a model of good practice.

When he was posted to EMS Lagos, he did marvelously well helping customers with their problems or concerns and resolving them

A recipient of NIPOST Merit Award ( Most  Outstanding Officer of the Year 2009 ) on an  account of his hard work, dedication and commitment to duty, including Letters of Commendation.

He was born on 9th October, 1976 to the family of Momoh S Aneru. He was a native of Auchi in Etseko west Local Government Area of Edo State.

He attended. Uniben Staff School, Benin city between 1983-1989 University of Benin Demostration Secondary School, Benin, where he sat and passed his West African School Certificate  Examination in 1995.

He also attended University of Benin, Benin City where he had his Bachelor of Science  in Mathematics and Economics in 2009 and University of Ibadan, where he obtained his Post Graduate degree, Master of Professional Ethics MPE in 2010.

He joined the service of Nigerian Postal Service on 26th June, 2003 as a Postal Officer on GL  04. As at the time of his death in 2020 he had progressed to the rank of Principal Postal Controller on Gl 12.

He was a strict Muslim, married with children. 'Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un'
