NIPOST GLORIOUS ERA
Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) is a government owned organization that is responsible for providing postal services in Nigeria. It has more than 13000 employee and operates more than 3000 post offices across the country.
The organization can be said to have passed through four eras since inception in 1985. These are Pre-Zome Era ( 1985-- 1989) , Zome/Bamigbele/Olukolu Era ( 1989-- 1999), Argungu/Mori Baba Era (1999--2016) and era of politicians being appointed as Postmaster General. (2016 - present)
If i were asked to choose the era that fared best, I would choose the third era- Argungu/ Mori Baba Era, This period can best be described as 'The Glorious Period' of Nigerian Postal Service. Period when the organization's narrative changed from 'Post and Throw away' to the best parastatal in Nigerian, the best postal service in Africa and one of the best postal services in the world.
It was the period when the then Postmaster General, Mallam Abubakak Musa Argungu received so many accolades and awards from all strata of the society including the international community in recognition of his pivotal role as Postmaster General.

Period when Nigerian Postal Service stood tall among the comity of organizations in Nigeria. When staff were proud to be called
NIPOST staff.
Period when confidence in the once most unreliable parastatal was restored and level of patronage improved considerably
Period when NIPOST staff were fully motivated by management to put in their best, when the retiring staff were officially sent forth by management, when staff were given car loan, when Annual Rent Enhancement was being paid to staff, when staff were trained and re trained, when hard working and dedicated staff were rewarded with Merit Award.
Period when the main concern of every APM and Station Manager was prompt mail movement
It was the period when the then Postmaster General, Mallam Abubakak Musa Argungu received so many accolades and awards from all strata of the society including the international community in recognition of his pivotal role as Postmaster General.
Just my opinion
