UIU (F) ELECTION: WHO SUCCEEDS ELDER FRIDAY OGBUEHI ?

The tenure of Chief (Elder) Friday Ogbuehi led Ubakala improvement Union ( F) comes to an end this year.  Election of new leaders that will steer the affairs of the union for another term will hold in August 2025 and the newly elected exco will be sworned in December  Going by the union's rotational arrangements, the new PG will come from Alaocha zone, Elder Friday Ogbuehi, the out going PG having come from Mbaiyi zone  However Nsirimo zone may want to challenge the arrangement. It was their turn to produce the  PG after the tenure of Chief Chidiebere Okorie in 2012, but they were disqualified from the race on the ground that their Diaspora Conferences had pulled out from the union for obvious reasons. Now that they are back fully, they may want Alaocha zone to conced the position to them in the interest of justice and fair play.  This may not be possible, consodering the  fact that they were not part of Sir Ebere Nweze's administration and for the greater ...

IMO NIPOST BIDS EGBADON ABRAHAM PAUL FAREWELL

Nigerian Postal Service, Imo State, on 5th February, 2025 organised a farewell party in honour of it's retirng State Postal Manager, Mr Egbadon Abraham Paul, who retired from public  service on attainment of 60 years of age and after 33 years of meritorious  service  The  event which took place at the premises of Ama Jk General Post office, Owerri  was well attended by Management and staff of  NIPOST Owerri. Among those sighted at the high table include Mrs Monaka joy Head of Operations, Mrs Nwannamaka Dim, Head of Human Resources Management, Sunny Opara PPMO, Ndidi Orji, Head of Account, Oluchi Ofola, Audit Staff present at the event poured encomiums on him. Sir MICHEAL IROM FOR BURIAL 21ST MARCH

The funeral rites for Chief (Sir) Micheal Irom KSM will commence on 7th March, 2025. Chief Irom, the Agu N'Eche Mba1 of Nsirimo, who died on 28th December, 2024, will be buried on 21st March, 2025. He was aged 72 years.  According to the burial arrangements made available by the famiy, the Service of Songs will take place on Friday, 7th March, 2025, at OLQP Navy Barracks Effurun, Delta State  The remains of late Sir Micheal Irom will be interred on 21st March, 2025, after funeral service at Holy Trinity Parish, Nsirimo Umuahia, Abia State  Thanksgiving Mass will hold on Sunday, 22nd, March, 2028 at Holy Trinity Parish, Nsirimo  May his soul rest in peace

REMEMBERING NIPOST MOST DEDICATED STAFF LATE MOMOH ABDUL MOSEED OSHIOKE.

It was Mrs Gladys Uwaje, our Secretary when i was in Delta Territory that called to inform me of his death. When i heard the news i was very shocked, saddened and deeply shaken.  How wicked can death be, so wicked that it has to  snatch Momoh  Abdul Moseed Oshioke away from his family and loved ones.  Although there is a time for everything, a time to be born and a time to die, according to the Holy Book, however nobody who worked with him when we were in Asaba had expected it would happen when it happened  His passing on was a great loss to  his family, friends, colleagues and Nigerian Postal Service. His absence has continued to be felt by those very closed to him in the office because they  knew him as an enthusiastic , dedicated, committed,  hard working, devoted, result driven and goal oriented officer. The news of the death of Sir Micheal Uzoma Irom KSM, the Ezeji and  Agu N'Eche Mba1 of Nsirimo, came to many people that knew him as a big shock. Sir Mike irom died on  Saturday, December,28, 2024  in U. S .A, He had gone there on vacation with his wife. It was during this period that he became sick and died. He was aged 72 years He was a man of many parts, an erudite scholar, a celebrated teacher, a prolific  writer and publisher, a successful business man, an astitue politician, a paramount community leader and social critic He was a graduate  of University of ife B.Sc Mathematic (1981) PGDE Calabar (1986) In the course of his teaching career, which spanned over 20 years, he held various positions in the  institutions he worked. HIGH CHIEF (MRS) ENYIOMA FRANCIS GETS TOP CHIEFTANCY TITLE

One major highlight of the coronation anniversary of HRH Eze (Prof)  C.A Ucheaga Phd, the Enyi II of Laguru Autonomous Community,  held on 27th December, 2024 was the conferrement of chieftancy titles on deserved persons from within and outside Laguru autonomous community. Among those conferred with chieftaincy titles, was High Chief (Mrs) Fidel Enyioma Francis  (nee Nelson)  an illustrious daughter of Umuosu Ubakala, based in U.S.A with her family. She was honoured with a beffiting chieftancy title of Ugoejiejemba 1 of Laguru in recognition of her benevolence and humanitarian contributions towards Laguru people. She was also presented with the distinguished award of Excellence as Stainless Lady of Laguru by HRH, who equally showered her with praise.
