MOYOSOLA BAMISILE, I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH

Moyosola Bamisile, the former SPM NIPOST Edo State is an officer that i will forever be grateful to.  He came to my rescue when everything seemed hopeless. My employement into the service of Nigerian Postal Service, where i worked and retired as an Assistant Director ( HRM) after 29 years of service  was made possible by him.

The way every thing turned out when i was introduced to him by my friend was unbelievable. It happened  as if there were some hidden supernatural forces at  play.  I was employed the same day he took me to the office, even without an interview. if I had gone to a native doctor, alfa or a pastor, before my friend took me to him, i would have given them the credit.

When i finished my youth service in 1988, i had searched fruitlessly for employment for five years. Those that supposed to help me turned their back on me. I had refreshed my resume and network, and  reconsidered my job search approach but to no avail. At  a stage i became frustrated and despair, wondering if i was cursed.

Imagine in 1990, my late father's friend, who was very worried by my unemployment after graduation rushed to our house and told us that he heard that NIPOST and National Productivity Center were recruiting fresh graduates and that i should go and see the big men in these organizations, who are from Umuahia  to help me. He mentioned Mr Azubuike Ogbonna, the then Deputy Postmaster General (ops) and Professor J.U.J Asiegbu, the Director General of Productivity Center.

I had gone with high hopes to these two places. When i got to Mr. Ogbonna, i spoke Umuahia dialect, as adviced to convince him to assist me, but he did nothing  He simple said NIPOST was not recriuting, That was the year NIPOST recruited over 2000 staff. I turned to National Productivity Center, where Professor Asiegbu was the Director General. Professor Asiegbu was not only my lecturer, academic adviser and Project supervisor at University of Port harcourt, but his wife, Rosemary is from my hamlet in our village. He said the same thing as Mr. Ogbonna said, that they were not recruiting. But a week later, i saw in the National Concord where the same Productivity Center published a recruitment advertisment.

So when my  friend  took me to Mr Moyosola Bamisile  in September, 1993, and he assured us that he would help in securing a job for me in NIPOST, i had laughed to myself saying NIPOST again, where Mr. Azubuike Ogbonna the DPMG (ops) from my local government could not help me. But to my greatest surprise i got employment into the organisation same day he took me there even without an interview.

He had introduced me to  Mr. A. U Baba, the then Senior Assistant Postmaster General in charge of Ijora worshops, as his school mate in the university. Mr Baba gave me a note to Mr Shallagwa at Lafiaji and upon  receipt of the note, i was employed. You can see why i said ifi had gone to a native doctor, alfa or pastor before been introduced to Mr  Moyosola Bamisile, i would have transferred all the credit to them. I did not go anywhere. God used him to secure employment for me in NIPOST after five years of searching and rejection by those closed to me

For this i will forever be grateful him. Mr Moyosola Bamisile,  i thank you from the bottom of my heart. I cannot express how grateful i am for  what you  did for me 33 years ago. You rescued me when everything seemed hopeless. Thank you very much. While thanking God for His Grace upon your life and  career generally, i  congratulate you on your joining the pantheon of Diamond  jubilee celebrants and on your  retirement  from Nigerian Postal Service in good health and sound mind. I wish you abundant  happiness and blessings and pray God to continue to preserve you in good health and sound mind, abundant prosperity and longevity to enable you to continue  to serve God and humanity.

Once again happy birthday and many happy returns my dear Moyosola Bamisile. Congratulations and God bless.
