STAND UP FOR THE LATEST TRADITIONAL RULER IN UBAKALA

 


History was made on 17th June, 2021 , when Dr C.A Ucheagha was presented with staff of office and certificate of recognition by the Executive Governor of Abia State, inspite of the innitial biccups that delayed it for about eleven months .

Indeed, Dr Ucheagha is a man , a brave worrior, a courageous Soldier, an Intrepid fighter and a gallant combatant that fought all the Generals in all fronts and defeated them.

He is a visionary administrator , a legendary teacher,  a man of letters and man of the people . If he is also described as an all round achiever , one will not be far from the truth.

 With his recognition as the traditional ruler of Laguru community , he becomes  the only traditional ruler in Ubakala/Umuahia with over ten University degrees in his kitty. 


In pursuit of his academic career,he attended the following Universities,

a. Abia State University, Uturu

b. Federal University of Technology [FUTO] Oweri

c. Imo state University, Oweri

d. Evangel Christian University,. U.S.A

e. Utman Fodio University, Sokoto

Among the several degrees he bagged from these Universities are , B.Sc [Econs], M.P.A [Mgt], M.Sc [Econs] PHD [Econs], PHD [Career Psychology] PGDE e t c

He is an academic member of many professional institutions. Amongst which are Institute of chartered Administrators and Secretaries, institute of Commerce, London e.t.c

He started his career as a Grade 11 teacher and rose to the post of a senior Director in Abia State Board of Education, where he retired meritoriously on 28th March, 2011. Presently, he is engaged in part time management consultancy to higher institutions like Federal University of Agriculture, Umudike,

He has received several awards and honours by various groups and orgnisations in recognition of his Sterling  qualities and outstanding contributions to the service  of humanity. In recognition for his service to Mgbarakuma Community, when he was a head teacher, he was honoured with the title "Amamihe buihe. Ukwu 1 of Mgbarakuma" by the late Eze Nwazue, the Akumaukwu 1 of Mgbarakuma . When he was in Isialangwa, he received another Chieftaincy title "Dike Dina mba 1 of Isiahaba" autonomous community in Isialangwa South Local Government .

A Prophet is not honoured in his home town goes the saying, but  here, the reverse is the case as he was honoured with the title "Aladinma 1 of Laguru autonomous Community" by late Eze Godwin Onuoha, whom he served as senior Adviser.


This astute administrator and academician has also held several positions in the community that have  exposed him to the act of traditional rulership   Amongst them are :

a. Chairman Umuozuobu Village , for several years

b. Chairman, Laguru Council of Chiefs

c. Senior Adviser /Secretary to the late Eze Godwin Onuoha , the Enyi 1 of Laguru.

The news of the death of Sir Micheal Uzoma Irom KSM, the Ezeji and  Agu N'Eche Mba1 of Nsirimo, came to many people that knew him as a big shock. GLAMOUR AS JOHN AND JULIE NWADIGHOGHA MARK 25TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Nwachinemere 1 of Ubakala, High Chief, Sir (Dr) John Nwadighogha KSM and his beautiful wife, Lady Julie Nwadighogha are one great couple who are consistent in showing appreciation to God for His favour upon them. They do this at every given opportunity. On 29th December, 2024, they repeated this when they rolled out the drums to appreciate God's for His goodness, faithfulness and mercy upon their marital life in the last 25 years.   Rev. ( Mrs) Olayinka Olusola Danso,  retired General Manager, National Mail Distribution Center, Shomolu is 63 years today. In a country where the average life expectancy is 54 and at a time longevity takes the grace of God, attaining such milestone in good health and sound mind is no mean feat and calls for thanksgiving and Celebration.
