She hails from Umuosu, Ubakala Umuahia, Abia State but was born and grew up in Sapele, Delta State, where she had her primary and secondary education.
She is the second child of the family of six. Her father, late Pa Isreal Innocent Awo Asibe a k a De Izy, was a retired civil servant before he passed on in 2015. Her mother is a business woman.

Apart from acting, she is also a writer and producer. She is the writer and producer of the movie 'Scorned'. She is equally the CEO and founder of Divine Global Entertaiment.
She was given an award in 2009 by the Afican Youths Society, as role model of the generation.

On a good ground, she loves eba and ogbono soup but because of her weight she now goes on light food. Instead of eba, she eats agidi and more fish and vegetables and whole lots of water
