@ His HIGHNESS CHIEF CHARLES KALU'S FAREWELL PARTY
The Ubakala improvement Union, Lagos on 28th August, 2021 held a Farewell party for the traditional prime minister of Abam autonomous community, His highness Chief Charles Kalu and his wife, Osote Ugoeze Queensly Kalu, who are retiring back home after several years of sojourning in Lagos
The event which took place at the Power Penticostal Church hall, Okota, was successful in every aspect, as it drew good number of members of Ubakala improvement Union in Lagos, as well as friends and well wishers who came out to celebrate Chief Charles Kalu and his wife
In attendance were the President of UIU Lagos, Mr Columba Nduaguibe, his vice, Mr Christopher Utorji, the Secretary, Chidozie Emmanuel, the Treasurer, Uche Ibezim, Mr Chris Olekibe, former President UIU, Mr Chimezie Nzenwa, former President UIU, Patron Julius Uchegbu, Patron Felix Ugwumadu, Patron Richard Onyenkwere, Chief C.E Ekeke, Engr. Uche Ndukuba, Mr. Rollings Iroakasi, Peter Ugbor, Chief Chimaobi Ekwueme, Chimezie Onyeanula, Chijioke Abaraonye, Godwin Onyeonoro, Chima Amike and host of others.
Also in attendance were the Umuada Ubakala, Lagos who came to celebrate with Osote Ugoeze Queensly Kalu who is one of their members. They added colour to the already colourful occasion with their colourful attires
.
It was not just all Ubakala affairs, as representatives of Umuahia Development Association, Lagos, where Chief Charles Kalu holds the tittle "Ugwu Umuahia, as well as friends and well wishers stormed the venue to celebrate with them
The peak of the occasion was when they were called to dance. Members of UIU, as well as friends and well wishers joined in the dance, spraying them with different denominations of Naira
The event was fun filled and will remain indelible in the minds of the retiring couple. Chief Kalu who was impressed by the way things turned out, thanked all for honouring their send off. He prayed God to also make it possible for all to retire back home in good health.
The Ubakala Women Association, Lagos were also on hand to give Osote Ugoeze a befitting send off.
Equally, the Executive and members of Abam Welfare Association in Lagos honoured the ceremony with their esteemed presence. Led by their President Mr Emeka Isaac, his vice Osondu Uchegbu, Chief Simeon Olua, Oscar Nwachukwu, Amadi Job, Pius Ndukuba, Humphrey Nwaosuagwu, Edward Nwaahizu, Lucky onyemaizu, Emelike Nwaogu, Ufomba Enoch, Ojimadu Job, Paul Obidike and others.
