 It was another moment of celebration for old sudents of Ubakala Secondary School, Nsukwe on Thursday 30th December, 2021  when they held their Annual General Meeting (,A G M). The National and School anthems were recited and the students of Ubakala Secondary School  presented a melodious welcome song to the old Students. High Chief Anthony Ukasanya has stated that Laguru Community now has  a recognised traditional ruler and there is nothing anybody can do about it Chief Ukasanya stated this during the celebration of the coronation of HRH Eze C.A Ucheaga, the Enyi 11 of Laguru Autonomous Community held on 29th December,2021 at Ahiamore Chief Ukasanya said it was high time those kicking against the choice of HRH Eze Ucheaga as traditional ruler of Laguru realised that the long drawn battle for the stool had been won and lost, descibing their efforts to make the governor withdraw the staff of office given to HRH as excercise in futilty Chief Ukasanya was visibly happy seeing the high caliber of personalities at the high table and how everything turned out Contrary to the expectation of his opponents that the ceremony will be a flop following their boycott of the ceremony, the whole event turned out to be successful.   The much anticipated coronation of Eze elect of Mgbarakuma Autonomous Community, Chief Ebere Ubani, scheduled to hold on 31st December,2021  has been called off The decision might not be unconnected to the fact that the Eze elect has not been given staff of office and certificate of recognision by the governor The last time the governor gave out staff of office to new traditional rulers  in Abia state was on 17th June, 2021 and HRH Eze C A Ucheaga, the Enyi 11 of Laguru was the only recipient from Ubakala

  As Ndi Laguru celebrate the the Enyi's 11 coronation today, Ubscope gathered that some people in Oyimo have vowed not to have anything to do with the celebration simple because their person/ village lost out in the epic battle for the stool. Well in the opinion of Ubscope News this is a wrong move that may backfire in the future. Today would have marked the first year anniverdary of HRH Eze Simeon Ibezim on the throne, but for the interruption created by unforeseeable circumstances beyond anyone's control. How ever with wisdom and God's intervention, he will come out of it shinning more brightly. Even if there is no celebration, we bring to remembrance one of his enviable and land mark achievement before he became the traditional ruler of Umuosu UMUOSU OKATA CRISIS RESOLVED Okata Umuosu crisis was the  longest crisis in the recorded history of Umuosu community.  It lingered for over two decades, defiling all solutions. The crisis led to the rest of Umuosu taken Umuokwuru and Umuamadi villages to court and the later in act of retaliation totally severed all relations with the rest of Umuosu. The remains of late Nne oma Cecelia Nwanuchuka Mbonu, the aged mother of Mr Goddy Mbonu, the CEO Candy Exquisite Hotel, River V.alley Estate, Ojodu, Lagos were committed to mother earth at Mbonu compound, Abam Ubakala on 30th December, 2021 Late Nne oma Cecelia Nwanuchuka Mbonu, died on Monday 20th September, 2021 aged 104 years This death is glorious exit and so she was celebrated as such by her family. According to burial arragements made available by her family,  there will be Christian wake keep on 29th December,2021 at Mbonu compound Abam Ubakala The funeral service will be held at Abam Primary School, Abam Ubakala. After the funeral ceremony her remains would be taken to Mbonu compound for interment Entertainment of guests will be held at Abam Primary School.

Barrister Obinna Benneth Randie Ukanwoko was born in Amizi, Oloko in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State on June 30th 1960 to Chief Boniface and Ezinne Christina Ukanwoko of Nsirimo, Ubakala in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State. He attended Central School Nsirimo, Santa Crux College ( now Olokoro High School) He graduated from the Universities of Calabar and Lagos,  where he obtained a Bachelor Degree with honours in political  Science and Law respectively as well as a Master:s Degree in international Law and Diplomacy.  He is an active member of numerous professional bodies including but not limited to Nigerian Institute of Management, Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Nigerian Institute of Personnel Management, Nigerian Bar Association,  Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London, Texas Board of Insurance,  Nigerian Institute of Advance Legal Studies Etc. Joy and excitement pervaded the air on 26th December, 2021 when the people of Ubakala celebrated their annual cultural day. December 26 has come to be known as Ubakala Day. Although attempt was made to shift this year'' edition to 27th because 26th December, 2021 was on Sunday, but after several meetings, it was decided that it should be held on 26th. It was therefore a moment of joy, happiness, laughter and reunion, as the sons and daughters of Ubakala gathered  to mark yet another celebration of the day. The Celebration commenced at about 4pm, when the people gradually started trooping in to the Umuahia South Local Government field, venue of the event which featured cultural displays,  cooking contest and  conferment of awards  Although, only two communities of the 13 communities in Ubakala participated in the cultural dancing competition, however they gave very good  account of themselves that the absence of other communities was not felt.
