UBAKALA SECONDARY SCHOOL OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATION HOLDS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING



 It was another moment of celebration for old sudents of Ubakala Secondary School, Nsukwe on Thursday 30th December, 2021  when they held their Annual General Meeting (,A G M). The event was fun filled and will remain indelible in their minds

Mr Chidiebere Okpulo, the Public Relations officer, USSOSA  presents the summarised report of the Annual General meeting.


OPENING PRAYER was said by Mr Columba Nduaguibe at about 2pm and was moderated by the PRO of USSOSA , Mr. Chidiebere David Okpulo.




The National and School anthems were recited and the students of Ubakala Secondary School  presented a melodious welcome song to the old Students.






The atmosphere was charged and old Students filled the event ground with happiness as exchange of pleasantries filled the air.




Then the main business of the day was made known when the President General of USSOSA Mr. Sam Ubah presented his Welcome Address / and as well charged members to always remember to give back to the school that moulded us into who we are today.

There was a minute silence in remeberance of our members who have gone to be with the Lord.


The  welcome address from the Principal who was unavoidably absent was read by Mrs Ahaiwe.


The Secretary General, Mr Chijioke Abaraonye presented the progress report with comprehensive update on the projects that were being done in the School by USSOSA.

The Financial Secretary as well increased the hope of members when she presented the update of the account of our dear organization.


We will recall that the leadership of USSOSA ably led by Mr. Sam Ubah has done wonderfully well within the space of four months of being  in office. 

The achievements so far comprised of cleaning of the school environment, renovation of the former Principal's office/ SS 3 Block, creation of a Diaspora unit, Home (Umuahia) Unit and building bridge of friendship/unity amongst members.





There was symposium from 1990 /1991 sets and speeches from Mr. Ebere Uwakwe, Mr. Okpechi who was the 1986 set Senior Prefect..and Sir J. C Nwabugwu who was the first indigenous Principal of the school....

There was much refreshment.




There was a vote of thanks from the Outreach  and Planning Chairman, Sir Raphael Nwabuko.

The closing prayer was said by Professor Nwabueze Patrick Okechukwu who joined on zoom amongst others.to

GLAMOUR AS JOHN AND JULIE NWADIGHOGHA MARK 25TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Nwachinemere 1 of Ubakala, High Chief, Sir (Dr) John Nwadighogha KSM and his beautiful wife, Lady Julie Nwadighogha are one great couple who are consistent in showing appreciation to God for His favour upon them. They do this at every given opportunity. On 29th December, 2024, they repeated this when they rolled out the drums to appreciate God's for His goodness, faithfulness and mercy upon their marital life in the last 25 years. The event which began with Thanksgiving Mass at St Nicholas Catholic Church, Nsukwe / Umuogo was followed with a reception of guests at Dr John Nwadighogha's residence,  Umunibom, Umuogo Ubakala Their friends and loved ones, who have been privileged to observe  their successful marriage story,  described  the attainment  of such milestone as worthy of celebration. REV (MRS) DANSO: 63 YEARS OF GOD's GOODNESS .

  Rev. ( Mrs) Olayinka Olusola Danso,  retired General Manager, National Mail Distribution Center, Shomolu is 63 years today. In a country where the average life expectancy is 54 and at a time longevity takes the grace of God, attaining such milestone in good health and sound mind is no mean feat and calls for thanksgiving and Celebration.
