ALUMNI OF UBAKALA SECONDARY SCHOOL WHO ARE MAKING POSITIVE IMPACTS IN THE SOCIETY




Ubakala Secondary School is the foremost indigenous secondary in Ubakala. It was established in 1979 by members of Ubakala improvement Union. According to the first indigenuos Principal of the school, Sir Jeremiah Chukwuma Nwabugwu, the intension of the founders of the school was, and still is to raise people who would learn to succeed in navigating the murky waters of life. This aim, he said is enshrined in  the motto of the school "To learn to succeed"

The school started as boys secondary school. and  became a mixed school, boys and girls some years later. It started as Ubakala Comprehensive High School but had her name changed  to Ubakala Secondary School when it became a mixed school

Like the motto of the school  conates, the school has produced many people who have learned to succeed and have not only carved a niche  for themselves in their choosen fields  but are also making positive impacts in the society.

UbscopeNews presents to you some of these worthy ambassadors of the school who have been able to translate the wordings of the school anthem to reality through sheer hard work and examplary lifestyles.




The list includes, a renowned pharmacist based in Abuja and former President General of Ubakala Clan Union (F), Pharm. Chidi Okorie;  a telecom expert and President of Ubakala improvement Union, Lagos, Mr  Columba Nduaguibe; M/D, Kristile Pharmaceutical Nig Ltd and former Director of Socials, Umuahia Development Association, Lagos, Hon Chris Utorji;  M/D of Pun Manufacturing Company and a PDP stakeholder in Umuahia south L.G. He is also  Secretary General of Ubakala improvement Union (F) Mr Uwaoma Nzenwa Ndukuba; former President of Alaocha Ubakala Development Union, Lagos and the Traditional Prime Minister of Abam Autonomous Community, Chief Charles Kalu; current vice President General of Ubakala' improvement Union (F) Chaplain Charles Ngwakwe; President General of Laguru Development Union and President of Umuahia Development Association, (Youth wing) Lagos, Hon. Adolphus Iroabuchi; a  Special Assistant to SSG Abia state and President of Amibo Progressive Union Lagos, Mr Chibuzor Omabuihe; M/D, Chi Class Trans. Ltd and former Asst. Secretary General U.I.U Lagos, Mr Chimezie Onyeanula and former Financial Secretary U.I.U (F) Dr Ebere Onwuneme



We also have the Managing Partner, Sam Ubah &Co Chartered Accoutants and current national President of  Ubakala Secondary School Old Students  Association (USSOSA); M/D, Open gate Projects Ltd and former President of USSOSA, Arch Syvester Ikondu; M/D, Learned Tongues Venture and Secretary General of USSOSA, Chijioke Abaraonye; a Port Harcourt based legal practitioner and former Secrtary General of USSOSA. He is also  former President General of Umuogo Progressive Union (F) Chief (Barr.) Samuel Nwadighogha; the brain behind Geopal economic Resource Venture  and President of  USSOSA, Lagos Unit, Mr Obioma George; President of USSOSA, Port Harcourt Unit. Mrs Adanne Okonkwo


You may also know that Sir Rapheal Nwabuko; Professor Nwabueze Patrick Okechukwu; Maryjane Chikwem ; Godfrey Nwaosu; Chimarioke Caleb Ufomadu; Enoch Chigbu are products of Ubakala Secondary School and have distinguished themselves in their choseen fields


Others are  M/D, St Charles Telecomms Nig,  Charles Ogbuehi; M/D of Samchez Associates, Oscar Nwachukwu; M/D, Checkirem Inspection services  and a  renowned NDT expert, boiler and lifting equipment Surveyor, Engr. Uche Kingsley Ndukuba


Not many know that Mr Murphy Asibe, a pioneer  student, Nnamdi  Erugo aka sapirock, another pioneer student, late Eze Abali, Lady ify johnpedro are proud products of USSN


The list also include the likes of Gabriel Isiuwa, a 1983 set; Ebere Apugo, 1984 set; Chidi Ibejimato, 1984 set; Nwabugwu Celestine Ezinna, who are outside the shore of the country to eking out a living


The list will not be complete without mentioning  the following personalities who made their marks in the oil industry, Dr John Nwadighogha (Exxon mobil); Ndidi Anosike (Mobil);  Charles Egbuedo (Chevron); Engr. Ezinna Ogbuokiri (Total Nig Ltd); Tochukwu Olekanma (Eastern Relog Oilfied Ltd); Uchenna Opah ( Atlantic Petroleum)

They are the worthy ambassadors of the school who  upheld the contents of the school anthem (written by Mr Allwell Ahaiwe PHD) that say

Bravo, bravo, bravo

Behold the school we cherish,

Ubakala Secondary School,

A learning place indeed,

Out of hard work, peace and unity,

You have come to stay for us,

You want us to learn to succeed,

And to become good citizens,

Your aim and objectives we shall pursue with zeal.

The labours of our founders shall not be in vain


Indeed the labours of the founding fathers of the school have not been in vain because they have learned to succeed and became Achievers
