MEET MONDAY OGBUEHI THE NEWLY ELECTED PRESIDENT OEAU LAGOS



Mr Monday Ogbuehi is the newly elected president of OEAU Lagos. He was elected president in a keenly contested election held on 6th October, 2024. Heavily backed by his Mgbedeala compatriots, Mr Ogbuehi defeated his rivals Dr George Obioha and Mr. Obinna from Eluama zone of the community by a wide margin. 

Known for his dispassionate and unsentimental stand on issues at the meetings, of which his opponnents misjudge him and tag him as controversial. This attribute  has equally made him a household name among Ubakala residents in Lagos. Mention his name in any Ubakala gathering in Lagos,  you will be surprised by how many people  will say they know him pretty well. 

Mr Ogbuehi  has been an active member of Umuokorie Family Meeting, OEAU Lagos, Alaocha Ubakala Development Union, Ubakala Improvement Union, Lagos, since 1991 he relocated to Lagos from Kano due to the religious crisis in the ancient  city allegedly caused by Reinhardt Bonnke's visit. 





He served as Umuokorie Family Meeting Chairman for several years and on 4th December, 2020, he was awarded  OEAU Lagos Merit Award  in recognition of 
his contribution to the growth and development of the Union. 

 He was honoured with the award alongside 10 distinguished persons from differently parts of Umuosu  and who have one way or the other contributed to the growth and development of the union in Lagos. 

He was born on 14th Febuary, 1964 to the family of Late Mr & Mrs Marcus Nwaogbe Ogbuehi in Umuokorie Mgbedeala, Umuosu Ubakala Autonomous Community.

He attended St John Primary School, Ugwuoye, Nsukka, Enugu State, where he sat and passed his First School Leaving Certificate Examination. He could not go beyond primary six because of his financial porous background, this resulted in his settling to learn a trade.

 Through dint of hard work, discipline, determination to succed and favour of God, he braved all odds to rise to a credible financial height.


He is currently the  M. D of Monday Ogbuehi Motors Nig.Ltd, a company that deals on sale and supply of  German trucks, mini trucks/vans and trailers to individuals, corporate bodies and state governments. The company also deals on all kinds of truck heads like DAF, MARK, IVECO

He is married to Mrs Christina Ogbuehi, an Assistant Supritendent of Police and they are blessed with a lovely daughter.

  Rev. ( Mrs) Olayinka Olusola Danso,  retired General Manager, National Mail Distribution Center, Shomolu is 63 years today. In a country where the average life expectancy is 54 and at a time longevity takes the grace of God, attaining such milestone in good health and sound mind is no mean feat and calls for thanksgiving and Celebration.
