PLEA FOR STAY OF EXECUTION: HRH EZE UCHEAGA ACCUSES UMUAHIA HIGH COURT JUDGE OF BIAS

  The embattled traditional ruler of Laguru Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Professor C. A Ucheaga has disclosed that he knew from the onset  that Justice Chido Nnamani of Umuahia High Court would not grant his request to stay the execution of the Court's judgement which removed him as the traditional ruler of Laguru Autonomous community,  HRH stated that he lost confidence in the judge's neutrality following the manner  he handled the original trial of the case, Despite knowing that the presiding judge was biassed in the treatment of the case, HRH Eze Ucheaga explained that he had approached the court for the stay of execution of the judgement,  because the rule states that Application for a Stay of Execution of the judgement must be made first from the court which heard the original trial of the case. Talk about  one past  President General of Ubakala improvement Union (F) that has been  honoured with many awards, laurels and recognisions since he left office, the name of Pharm. Chidi Okorie, will readily come to mind.   The Umuogo born pharmacist was elected President General of the union in August 2007 at the age of 37, making him the youngest president general ever in Ubakala.   The mortal remains of Late Chief Nneoma Blessing Ekwueme, will be laid to rest in her husband's compound, Umuokwuru village, Umuosu Ubakala Autonomous Community on 29th December 2023. She was aged 84 years Late Chief Nneoma Ekwueme was the wife of Chief Moses Ekwueme, the village head of Umuokwuru, Umuosu Ubakala Her interment will follow a funeral service at L. A Primary School Umuosu, Ubakala. . She was survived by  husband, children, grand children and great grand children, among whom are former TC Chairman, Umuahia South LGA, Elder  Charles Ekwueme a.k.a Chaliwowo, President, OEAU Lagos,  Chief Chimaobi Ekwueme, Aku buntuntu 1 of Umuosu.  We at Ubscope wish to use this medium to convey our deep sympathy to Elder Charles Ekwueme and the entire Ekwueme's family,  as well as good people of Okwuru levo over their loss. REMEMBERING AN ICONIC POSTMASTER GENERAL LATE ABUBAKAR MUSA ARGUNGU 18 YEARS AFTER

  He might have passed on eighteen years ago, but the unending  memories about him may never fade. His face, doggedness, charisma, examplary character,  good intentions and disposition towards his staff may take the next generation to forget. He was a rare  personality who had left indelible footprints positively in the sand of times. Mallam Abubakar Musa Argungu, the late Postmaster General of the Federation and Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Postal Service from June 2000 to 22nd October 2005, when the cruel cold hands of death snatched him away. He and his Personal Assistant on International Relations, Mr Stephen Eneware, were on board of the  Belview Airline flight 210, which crashed  at Lisa Igbore Village in Ogun state, killing all passengers on board.
