AVODIM MONARCH TO MARK 10TH CORONATION ANNIVERSARY

HRH Eze Boniface Chidi Onyemachi, the Avo ukwu II of Avodim autonomous community and the Chairman Umuahia South Traditional Rulers' Council is marking his 10th anniversary of his ascension on the throne. The highly  celebrated teacher turned monarch is without doubt an emboldement of numerious virtues which include  intellectual intergrity,  courage, fairness, wisdom, prudence, justice, loyalty, compassion and many more.  These made him the popular choice of the  elders and people of Avodim community twelve years ago when they elected him as their Eze. His election was celebrated by all and sundry in both Umugama village, where he was then their village head and the entire  Avodim community. His coronation two years later was very colourful and attracted large turn out of Avodim indigenes both home and in Diaspora, as well as their friends and well wishers. When the list of the legends in Ubakala is being compiled, the name HRM Eze  Rapheal Ahamefule Mbagwu (KSC) the Late Uba III  of Ubakala and Enyi Abia, who died on February  23, 2022, will  conspicuously be on the list.  His contributions, support and commitment to the service of his state, Abia, community, Ubakala and the Anglican  Church are legendary and had earned him several awards and commendations from both the state and the church.  He was a man of many parts. He was a celebrated Pharmacist and a top notch administrator who made his mark at R.T Brisco Nig. FAMILIES OF UMUIME 8 ANNOUNCE BURIAL DATES AND ARRANGEMENTS

From  Febuary 28, 2025, Umuime village in Umuosu Ubakala autonomous community will be a hive of activity as the burial of its  kinsmen who died during the second half of last year takes center stage It is partinent to state that  Umuime village lost 8 of its citizens to the cold hands of death due to various illness during this period and their corpses are still lying in the mortuaries, awaiting burial The families of the  deceased  recently announced their burial dates and arrangements as follows:  The remains of late Mrs Joanah Chidiadi Ekwueme will be laid to rest on Friday, February 28, 2025 at her husband's compound, after funeral service to be conducted by the Anglican Chapel, Umuosu at L.A Primary. SIR FELIX CHUKWUNMA MARK FOR BURIAL MARCH 15

The funeral rites for Sir Felix Chukwunma Mark  KSM will commence on 12th March, 2025. Sir Felix Chukwunma Mark aka Sir Chuks from Umuime Umuosu Ubakala, who died on 15th December, 2024, will be buried on 14th March, 2025. He was aged 94 years.  According to the burial arrangements made available by the famiy, the Service of Songs will hold on Wednesday, 12th March, 2025, at his compound Umuime Mgbedeala, Umuosu Ubakala The remains of late Sir Felix Chukwunma Mark will be buried on Friday, 14th March, 2025, after funeral service at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Apumiri, Ubakala Umuahia, Abia State  Thanksgiving service will hold on Sunday, 16th, March, 2028 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Apumiri Ubakala  May his soul rest in peace

SUNDAY ASHALEYE NIPOST DELTA STATE PPMO SIGNS OFF

  Mr Sunday Adegoke Ashaleye,  Chief Technical  Officer, Nigerian Postal Service, Delta State retires from  service to day.  He is retiring after attaining  the mandatory retirement age of 60 years and after spending 34 years and four months of meritorious service. He is undoubtedly one of the most dedicated, hardworking, loyal and commited  PPMOs that the territory/state has had. Dogged, resilient, tenacious, courageous and unassuming personality.  He is really pleasant to be around with. He is friendly, cheerful and kind, and he never argues or causes a fuss. He approaches his job with every sense of responsibility.  Born on 14th February, 1965, he started his career in the Nigerian Postal Service on 16th October, 1990 as a Driver. He rose steadily through the ranks and was promoted to the rank of Chief Technical Officer on GL 14. with effect from  1st January, 2024. UIU (F) ELECTION: WHO SUCCEEDS ELDER FRIDAY OGBUEHI ?

The tenure of Chief (Elder) Friday Ogbuehi led Ubakala improvement Union ( F) comes to an end this year.  Election of new leaders that will steer the affairs of the union for another term will hold in August 2025 and the newly elected exco will be sworned in December  Going by the union's rotational arrangements, the new PG will come from Alaocha zone, Elder Friday Ogbuehi, the out going PG having come from Mbaiyi zone  However Nsirimo zone may want to challenge the arrangement. It was their turn to produce the  PG after the tenure of Chief Chidiebere Okorie in 2012, but they were disqualified from the race on the ground that their Diaspora Conferences had pulled out from the union for obvious reasons. Now that they are back fully, they may want Alaocha zone to conced the position to them in the interest of justice and fair play.  This may not be possible, consodering the  fact that they were not part of Sir Ebere Nweze's administration and for the greater ...

IMO NIPOST BIDS EGBADON ABRAHAM PAUL FAREWELL

Nigerian Postal Service, Imo State, on 5th February, 2025 organised a farewell party in honour of it's retirng State Postal Manager, Mr Egbadon Abraham Paul, who retired from public  service on attainment of 60 years of age and after 33 years of meritorious  service  The  event which took place at the premises of Ama Jk General Post office, Owerri  was well attended by Management and staff of  NIPOST Owerri. Among those sighted at the high table include Mrs Monaka joy Head of Operations, Mrs Nwannamaka Dim, Head of Human Resources Management, Sunny Opara PPMO, Ndidi Orji, Head of Account, Oluchi Ofola, Audit Staff present at the event poured encomiums on him.
