MAMA GENERAL OF NIPOST, MRS AKINTÀYO CLOCKS 60 YEARS, BOW'S OUT OF SERVICE.

Friends and well-wishers, on 28th August 2024, organised a birthday cum pendown celebration for the retired Head of Investigation and Security Branch, Lagos Headquarters Annex, Mrs Folusho Afolaogun Akintayo, who retired from service, having reached the compulsory retirement age of 60 years and after 34 years and 10 months of service The Management of  Investigation and Security Unit had deferred the date for her pendown/birthday celebration from 28th August, 2024, to a date to be announced, but her friends and well wishers reasoned otherwise. HRH EZE (DR) S. I IBEZIM TO CELEBRATE 4th CORONATION ANNIVERSARY

The Evule Ukwu Ii of  Umuosu Ubakala Autonomous Community, HRH Eze (Dr) Simeon I. Ibezim, has commenced activities aimed at celebrating his four years on the throne.  The  biennial celebrations popularly known as Evule Ukwu Day was initiated in 2022 by HRH to thank God for His divine direction and mercy in his life and also appreciate the people of the community, friends and well wishers for their immesurable support.  Recall that HRH Eze (Dr) Ibezim was coronated in a colorful occasion on 28th December, 2020. He was however suspended from office by the governor of Abia State, four months later following disagreement between him and some powerful individuals in the community. The suspension lasted till April 2022. It has been more than 9 years since the passing of Chief Mathew Ohamuo, the late village head of Umuime, in Umuosu Ubakala Autonomous Community. To many who knew him, his name will continually ring a bell in their hearts. He was a man of honour and a patriot, whose invaluable contributions to his community remain laudable. He was a great man full of intelligence,  courageous  with a disciplined mind. He was always firm in his actions that those around him were moulded in the same way.  He was a leader of men, a go getter, an exceptional community leader, a distinguished village head, who gave unbaised and examplary leadership to his people, a consummate strategist, a becon of hope, a source of inspiration and a guiding light to his people. REV (MRS) DANSO: 63 YEARS OF GOD's GOODNESS .

  Rev. ( Mrs) Olayinka Olusola Danso,  retired General Manager, National Mail Distribution Center, Shomolu is 63 years today. In a country where the average life expectancy is 54 and at a time longevity takes the grace of God, attaining such milestone in good health and sound mind is no mean feat and calls for thanksgiving and Celebration. NIPOST DELTA TERRITORY LOSES STAFF

Mr Harrison Chukwurah, an operation staff of Nigerian Postal Service Delta Territory is dead. A native of illah, Late Chukwurah died on Tuesday 4th June, 2024 at 53 after a brief illness. He joined the service of Nigerian Postal Service as a postal officer 11 on GL 03, nine years ago.. May his soul rest in peace. 

LAGOS MAILAND TERRITORY ORGANISES PEN DOWN FOR AJiRE OLAJIDE SAMUEL

The Lagos Mainland Territory of Nigerian Postal Service,  on 22nd April, 2024, organised a pen dowm ceremony for it's retired State Postal Manager, Mr Ajire Olajide Samuel, who served the organization meritoriously and retired on 17th April, 2025, having reached the compulsory retirement age of 60 years and after 32 years of service. At the well attended ceremony, Management Staff, including the Director (Ops) Mrs Toyin Egbesola, who respresented the Postmaster General, as well as friends and well wishers paid glowing tributes in torrents  to the man who can be aptly described as an embodiment of positive attributes, an epitome of hard work, an icon of  commitment to duty and symbol of passion for work.  They congratulated him, as well as appreciated his contibutions to the growth and advancement of NIPOST, adding that it is an accomplishment that should not be taken for granted.  The peak of the occasion was when he was called upon to cut the birthday cake.
